Tell us about the works that we’re featuring?

These pictures are some of my favorite photographs from various projects over the last year or so.

How does social media affect you and your art?

Instagram, in particular, has been beneficial for finding the work of other artists. It allows me to see the work they choose to show. I’ve found countless artists whose work I admire through social media and have been able to connect with a few of them, either online or person to person.

What are you working on right now?

I’m working on my first large project that is not entirely related to photography. I am also working on being less stressed.

Has your work ever gotten you into a dangerous situation?

I used to walk around Manhattan doing street photography. I took a photo of a guy using a bright flash. A few minutes later he put me in a headlock and tried to grab my camera. We had a short scuffle but his friends ended up pulling him back and apologizing.

How do you determine if a work has been a success?

I can look back at certain photographs and think that some are better than others, but I don’t like to think about this too much. I just like to make pictures and do whatever it takes to keep making the images I like to make.
